Once you have read through all the requirements, download and fill out all the necessary documents, you can apply and upload them at Oregon ePermitting, or you can email them to the building department at bld@crookcountyor.gov If you are applying online, please read the instructions on this LINK.
Fee Increase Notice: Building, Onsite, Planning, Code Compliance, and Addressing Fees will increase July 1, 2024.
If your subdivision requires fire sprinklers, those plans are
required to be submitted concurrently with structural plans.
PLEASE NOTE: First time development of property (dwellings only) that falls in the Parks & Recreational district must pay a Parks & Rec fee prior to the issuance of a dwelling or manufactured home permit. To find out what this fee is, please contact the City of Prineville at: 541-447-2367. Payments are taken at Prineville City Hall.
COMMON PERMITS
New Single Family Dwelling
Needed with Application:
- One set of large (24" x 36") building plans
- One set of truss plans (if trusses are being used. 8 1/2" x 11")
- One set of engineer calculations (8 1/2" x 11")
- One 8 1/2" x 11" of the site plan showing setbacks and distances between structures
- Completed and signed Owner authorization form--if applicable
- Completed and signed Owner responsibility form --if applicable
Manufactured Home
Needed with Application:
- Home floor plan
- Site map showing home on the property and all the setbacks (distances) to each property line
- 1 - 8 1/2" x 11" site plan showing setbacks and distances between structures
- Electrical Application for power. Note: You will also need a feeder/shut off if the home is over 30 feet from where the power company is bringing power in. If so, you will mark this on your electrical application along with the 200 or 400 amp service.
- NOTE: You will also need a plumbing permit if you are over 30 feet from either the water source, or the septic tank
Accessory Building, Addition, Remodel
Needed with Application:
- One complete set of building plans (24"x36")
- One set of truss plans (if trusses are being used)
- One set of engineer calculations
- One 8 1/2" x 11" site plan showing setbacks and distances between structures.
SIMPLE PERMITS

- Note: If you are requesting 600 AMPs or more, an electrical plan review is required and you will need to submit electrical plans.

Demo
Solar - Over 25 KVA requires an electrical plan review, and if you answer NO to any of the questions on the Solar Checklist, it will require a structural plan review.
