Interlibrary Loans (ILL)
Can't find what you need in the tri-county catalog? We may be able to borrow the item from another library via Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
- You may place up to 2 ILL requests at one time.
- It can take 2-6 weeks to receive an ILL, depending on the availability of the item and shipping time. The library that sends the item sets the due date.
- If you would like to renew your ILL, please contact us at least one week before the due date so that we can request a renewal from the lending library. While most lending libraries agree to renew items, sometimes they decline the request.
- There is no charge to order an ILL. However, because ILLs are sent via postal mail, there is a cost to us if we order an item and it's not picked up. Unfortunately, if you do not claim the item after seven days, we charge a $5.00 return postage fee.
- We will not request ILLs that have been published or released in the last six months as we may still be in the process of acquiring new items.
If you have questions about submitting an ILL request or would like to renew your ILL item, please contact the library.
