Crook County Road Department Snow and Ice Removal Plan

The Crook County Road Department Snow and Ice Removal Plan has been released for the 2023-24 season, the County will prioritize sanding, plowing, and de-icing within the County maintained roads.

Snow Districts shall be plowed, sanded and deicer applied in the order of priority as specified by the Road Superintendent or designee. Priority is determined by Bus Routes, Emergency Response Facilities located on County Accepted Maintained Roads (Juniper Canyon Fire Sub Station and Powell Butte Fire Sub Station), Traffic volumes, Intersections, Hills, and Curves. Sanding and De-icing spots are identified on the County Accepted Maintained Road Snow District maps.
