Scholastic Teachables is an online database of tens of thousands of searchable and printable educational materials. Created by teachers and precisely leveled, these high‑quality, ready-to‑use resources support parents preparing kids for kindergarten readiness, homeschool teachers and learners from Pre-K to grade 8, and young patrons who need extra skills practice.

Leave Google behind with our collection of research databases. Contact us if you'd like to schedule instruction on using these resources as an educator or student.

School Visits
Teachers, administrators, and principals may schedule school visits for the upcoming year starting in August. We visit most schools in Crook County and Brothers regularly during the school year.

In addition to our regular visits, we can provide special storytimes, booktalks, and library instruction sessions by request, schedule permitting.

Field Trips
Bring your class on a field trip to the library! We offer 30-minute field trip presentations for students of all ages.

Daycare and Preschool Outreach
Bring storytime to your preschool or daycare! We provide 10- to 30-minute storytime sessions to preschools and childcare centers in Crook County. Call us to schedule your visits.

Lesson Planning Support
We can help teachers find books, DVDs, websites, articles, and other materials to use in storylines and lesson plans. If we don't have what you're looking for, we can order it. We can also make sure we have plenty of books on the topic available in the library for your students.

We appreciate hearing from teachers when they've assigned a project to their students. If we have a copy of the assignment, we're better prepared to help them find the information they need.

Library Book Boxes
We have several Library Book Boxes full of picture books for preschools and childcare providers to check out for up to a month at a time.
