Purchase Suggestions for the Library

Is there a book, movie, audiobook, music CD, or magazine that you would like us to add to the library collection? We want to hear from you! 

• Purchase suggestions are accepted from current Crook County Library cardholders. 
• If we purchase the item you suggested, we will place the item on hold for you by request.
• It can take 2-6 weeks to select, order, and process a new item. We try to fast-track purchase suggestion orders as much as possible.
• Due to the volume of purchase suggestions received, we do not automatically notify patrons when their suggestion is accepted or declined. This information is available by request.

While we welcome all purchase suggestions, we do sometimes decline them. Common reasons for declining a purchase request include:

• The item is already available in the tri-county catalog.
• The item is not in print or is not being sold by our established vendors.
• The item received negative reviews from critics, or was not reviewed at all.
• The item is part of a larger series that is too expensive or impossible to obtain in full.
• The item does not fit within the terms of our Collection Development policy.

If you'd like to see an eBook or eAudio title added to Libby/Overdrive, please mark "other" in the form where we ask what type of material you'd like.

If your item is not selected by the library, you may submit a separate Interlibrary Loan request. If you have any questions about the process, please contact the library.
